Maj. Chester Natividad, newly-installed Zamboanga City Police Office’s Station 11 chief, identified the suspect as Nurbaser Sakandal, 32, a native of Basilan and temporarily staying in Barangay Campo Islam.
Sakandal yielded some 150 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated worth of P1.8 million after he was arrested in a buy-bust operation at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Barangay Tetuan.
Before the sting operation, Natividad said the police undertook a two-week surveillance on Sakandal.
Sakandal was detained while appropriate charges were being readied against him.
