No fewer than 100 firearms are allegedly missing from the custody of the Bauchi State Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force and the officers suspected to be guilty of this are being detained on the order of the Commissioner of Police, Umar Mamman Sanda, WikkiTimes reports The officers are detained pending an internal investigation in six local government areas of the state where they serve. An inside source revealed that the commissioner of police advised that the command should not release a press statement about the issue.
