SALEM, Ore. — Oregon has joined a major anti-trust lawsuit against tech giant Google, alleging that the company employed anti-competitive business practices to build and maintain a monopoly. Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum announced Thursday that she had joined a group of 38 attorneys general in the suit.
The Google suit mirrors an even larger case brought against Facebook just last week, similar in kind, and marks a growing backlash against the increasingly world-shaping power wielded by the largest companies in the tech industry.
