To The Editor:
This is in regards to “Businesses can require….” Further..” Businesses in St. Lawrence County can continue to require people to wear a mask inside their establishments, or adhere to new federal guidance.
As part of allowing vaccinated people to go mask-less, businesses can require proof of full vaccination status through paper form, digital application, or the State's Excelsior Pass”
As someone who had to take training every year, mandated training, it would seem that this particular rule is in violation of the HIPPA law. I am not required during Flu season to show that I have been vaccinated against it; nor do I have show State proof that I am allowed to go without a mask. How is it that I am required to show proof of vaccination status, but I am not required to show ID to vote?
