Older Millennials are not taking kindly to the latest label they’ve been given. A recent “Medium” piece called “Why the Hybrid Workforce of the Future Depends on the ‘Geriatric Millennial” hit the wrong tone with the group.
An author named
Erica Dhawan coined the term given to that in between group that are too old to be a regular millennial but still younger than any Gen Xers. The article, by the way, was very complimentary. It noted Cuspers, as some call them, are “comfortable with both analog and digital forms of communication” and was the “first generation to grow up with technology like a PC in their homes.” Dhawan, who’s a Cusper herself, explained in the piece “They are neither ignorant of technology nor so engrossed in it that a voicemail inspires fear.”
