Ocean County brush fire shuts down large stretch of Parkway

Update 8:20 p.m.: in Brick Township, residents of Brick Lake Park were advised they could may return to their homes, while State Forest Firefighters would "be in the area conducting Mop Up Operations," according to Brick Police.
Update 7:20 p.m.:As the fire continues to burn, first responders have been evacuating the Hilton Garden Inn hotel on Route 70 in Lakewood, according to township police.
Update 5:20 p.m.: Windy conditions have led to fire spreading to at least one nearby location in Brick Township, as the roof of the Lowe's store along Route 70 had caught fire, township police confirmed.
