Memorial Day is a day of remembrance, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
Many Americans observe this holiday by visiting cemeteries and memorials. Nutley is home to at least ten Military memorials or monuments, located throughout the township and park system.
The Nutley Veterans Council and the Board of Commissioners will be touring the monuments in recognition of Memorial Day on Monday, May 31st beginning at the VFW Hall located at 217 Washington Avenue at 8:45am.
If you happen to be out and about this weekend and come across one or more of these memorials, please take a few moments to remember and honor those that have lost their lives to protect and ensure our freedom.
