No. 1 Alabama overwhelms No. 3 Ohio State in National Championship game
The Crimson Tide rolled over the Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff National Championship game to the tune of 52-24.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide won their third national title in the College Football Playoff era Monday night, defeating No. 3 Ohio State 52-24 at Hard Rock Stadium.
What started as a back and forth affair ended in a rout as Nick Saban earned his sixth National Championship as head coach of the Crimson Tide. Quarterback Mac Jones set a college football playoff record with 464 passing yards and tied Joe Burrow with five passing touchdowns. Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith ended the game with 12 receptions for 215 yards and three touchdowns, all in the first half. The Alabama running back Najee Harris also had a big game with 158 yards from scrimmage and three total touchdowns in the game (two rushing, two receiving).
