The Saturday night shooting in LaPlace, about 30 miles west of New Orleans, happened at 8:37 p.m. when officers responding “learned multiple people were shot when verbal confrontations during a child’s birthday party led to gunfire,” according to a statement.
A 12-year-old’s birthday party in Louisiana last week turned into a nightmare as gunfire broke out that left nine teens injured, authorities in St. John the Baptist Parish said Monday.
