Trooper Thomas Maymi was working a shift on the Indiana Toll Road when some things unfolded with a mom-to-be.
While observing traffic, he noticed that a male driver had stopped his semi-truck, exited his vehicle and was running across the highway towards him. The man, Carl Robertson, told the officer that he needed help as his wife was pregnant and
Maymi jumped into action. First he called dispatch to call for an ambulance. Then followed Robertson to his truck to check on his wife Shaniqua Traywick. Maymi realized that there wasn't going to be enough time to transport the patient to the hospital and he would need to deliver the baby.
