New York Times warns right-wing political violence from within the US military and police put the nation at risk

Days after leading <em>Times</em> columnists David Brooks and Thomas Friedman published columns promoting the midterm election results as a “return to normalcy,” the <em>Times</em> editorial board warned that the proliferation of “extremists” in American police departments and the US military, “put the nation at risk.”
