New York man waiting for new truck he says is stuck in Fort Wayne
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) -- General Motors Fort Wayne Assembly Plant has acknowledged a shortage in semiconductors to ship out hundreds of almost-ready pickup trucks in Fort Wayne.
John Bayne from New York says he ordered his 2021 GMC Serria Denali online but he's been waiting for weeks. He says the vehicle has been completed and it’s in Fort Wayne.
“They said it would take seven weeks from start to finish. After six weeks, the truck was done,” Bayne said. “I got a notice it was completed so I figured the last week would be delivery, but that was seven weeks ago."
