Dimapur, June 26 (EMN): The second edition of the New Jalukie Super League (NSL) kicked off with Rev. Dr. Mongzeung Mpom, Pastor, Jalukie Town Local Baptist Church as the special guest at public ground, New Jalukie village under Peren district on June 25. During a short kick off programme, Sangribo Pamai, convenor of NSL Organising Committee highlighted the aims and objectives of organising the month-long annual football event and encouraged the players not only to play football but to make the event a holistic development for oneself, an update informed. A short sharing was delivered by Rev. Dr. Mongzeung Mpom, where he reminded the players to keep physically and spiritually fit all the time. He also spoke on sports, especially football, as one of the greatest games/tools in bringing communities together irrespective of caste, race, gender, religion etc. The kick off ceremony ended with a prayer led by Rev. Mathiuthai Gonmei, Executive Secretary RBAN, followed by the declaration of the tournament open by the special guest. The 2nd edition of NSL will culminate on July 18.
