New court dates set for North Bay business challenging legality of COVID closures

Legal counsel representing medical officer of health Dr. Jim Chirico and business owner Alexandra Stewart appeared before Ontario Superior Court Regional Senior Judge for the Northeast Region M. Gregory Ellies Thursday morning to deal with questions around procedure and to discuss a timetable for the delivery of materials related to damages and costs.

Ellies agreed to set a deadline of Aug. 20 to have the application materials delivered, Sept. 16 for the medical officer of health to do the same and Sept. 17 to address the matter and possibly set a hearing date.
