Raisin’ Cain (Alligator): I haven’t heard Chris Cain in some time and my first impression was this really sounds like B.B. King! I’m on my second listen and Cain’s performance really makes the grade. Cain plays solid and large guitar throughout as well. What a treat! Cain is backed up by Greg Rahn (playing every keyboard available and sooo well) and Steve Evans (bass), with Derrick “D’Mar” Martin and Sky Garcia trading drums and Kid Andersen backing up on guitar, drums, melodica with Lisa Leuschner (backing vocals) and a horn section thanks to Michael Peloquin (saxes), Mike Rinta (trombone), Jeff Lewis (trumpet) and Doug Rowan (bari sax).
