THE director of the River & Rowing Museum in Henley is to step down at the end of the month.
Sarah Posey, who was appointed in June 2018, announced her resignation this week but says she has enjoyed her time in post and will continue to support the museum in years to come.
The search for a replacement will begin soon and in the meantime Louise Wymer, a rower and former trustee, will lead the senior management team.
Dr Posey, 57, who has been living in Greys Road with her husband Nigel Worlidge, was previously curator at the Museum of Mankind in London and head of collections, interpretation and learning at the Royal Pavilion and Museums of Brighton and Hove.
