Show, breaking developments in the Israel Hamas War and 14 new trucks carrying humanitarian aid have entered gaza today. Its nowhere near enough is intensifies the bombardment in the head of a Ground Invasion. Congresswoman alexandria ocasiocortez joins me live. I will ask her about the u. S. Response to the war and her call for a ceasefire. The incredible gop dysfunction here at home in congress. Two former Trump Lawyers flip on the ex president who might be the next Georgia Codefendant to fall. Welcome to the, show im mehdi hassan. Joe biden has been a lifelong supporter of israel. He met with legendary israeli Prime Minister in his very first year as a senator this week on wednesday he went to israel to hug israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to offer the and still reeling from a Violent Hamas attack that killed more than 1400 israelis. And then on thursday evening back in the oval office, the president addressed the American Public on the subject of u. S. Support for israel and for the latest war in gaza. In israel, we have to make sure that they have what they need to protect the people today and always. The Security Package im sending to congress and asking congress is an unprecedented could commitment to security that will sharpen israels qualitative edge which we committed to. The qualitative edge. For me the line that stood out on thursday came not from the oval office speech, it came from one of the top officials. The Senior Member of the Security Cabinet of netanyahu speaking to reporters. Hostages and civilian casualties will be secondary to destroying hamas. Even if it takes a year. Hold on, saving the hostages a secondary to destroying hamas . Shouldnt that be the main mission there is still around 200 people held by hamas according to the Israeli Military despite the freeing of two american hostages on friday. And avoiding civilian casualties is also secondary to destroying hamas . It isnt making sure civilians as and get unnecessarily killed and conflict a key part of International Humanitarian law . So, tonight with an Israeli Ground invasion of a gaza still looming, is this the kind of or a yearlong war, perhaps, according to israels own top minister that the Biden Administration is really signed up for . Is this what the American Public has signed up for . Listen to what other israeli officials are saying out loud enough shame. You have gallanted the Defense Minister reacted to hamass Surprise Attack in the south of the country on October The 7th by ordering a complete siege on the gaza strip. No electricity, no food, no fuel. He added that we are fighting human animals. We are acting accordingly. Israel cast the Energy Minister said no Electrical Switch will be turned on in gaza. No water pump will be open. No fuel truck will enter into the abductees are returned home. It is the National Security as long as hamas does not release the hostages in the hands, hundreds of tons of explosives from the air force, and not an ounce of humanitarian aid. Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said, about the bombing of gaza, the emphasis is on damage. Not on accuracy. Is the Biden Administration okay with all of this . Is the u. S. Public on board with backing this kind of war and bombing and siege of civilians . Even the president of israel, isaac herzog, moderate, quote unquote, suggested this week that the innocent population of gaza, 2. 3 Million People, half of them children, wasnt so innocent. They couldve risen up they couldve fought against hamas. Thats the kind of dangerous rhetoric that leads to collective punishment, which is illegal under international law. Thats the kind of rhetoric that leads to thousands of palestinians, including, kids killed in gaza over the past two weeks. Tens of thousands displaced from their homes, which have been turned to rubbl right, now and gaza the humanitarian situation is so dire that the Associated Press rertthis weekend, surgeons and gaza citys overcrowded hospitals are having to use vinegar instead of antiseptic, sewing needles assessor tickle. And so having to trap wrap burn victims in close because theyve run out of bandages. The Biden Administration would, of course, argue that is working to ensure that israel abide by the laws of war. Also made efforts to get humanitarian aid into gaza. From announcing 100 Million Dollars in u. S. Aid for the occupied west bank in gaza, to pushing for an opening of egypt s rafah crossing, with gaza, and getting 20 trucks of aid through on saturday and 14 trucks today. Come on, 34 trucks of aid in total for over 2 million hungry, ill, wounded, displaced people . Well i didnt get that much coverage in the u. S. Media this, week on wednesday, while biden was in an israel, the u. N. Security Council Voted on a resolution to condemn violence against all civilian. Civilian. Civilian. Civilian. Civilian. Civilian. Civilian. Civilian. Civilian. Israeli and palestinian. Calling for humanitarian pauses to the fighting in order to get enough aid into gaza. The only country to vote against it, to veto it, yes, the United States. The Biden Administration. Saying it was too early for such a resolution. This despite the fact that according to a poll from the Progressive Group data for progress, 66 of likely voters including 56 of Republican Voters say they want the Biden Administration to call for a ceasefire in gaza, and a deescalation of the violence. The Wall Street Journal pulled out today, finds a majority of americans think the u. S. Has a responsibility to support israel, but also to push for negotiations to end the conflicts. The choice for joe biden is between an American Public that, yes, it supports israel, but also wants an end, not an escalation, to the fighting. And an Israeli Government under Benjamin Netanyahu, wants to destroy hamas at all costs, even if hostages are lost the process. Even as Palestinian Civilians continue to be killed in big numbers. In fact, the Israeli Government is expanding its air campaign to the occupied west bank which isnt run by hamas, earlier today the which they claimed was controlled by hamas militants. Two people died. Look, joe biden seems to have made his choice. He is back in israel. Its a choice that the president came to office promising an end to endless wars may come to regret as innocent bodies on both sides continue to pile up. In a moment i will speak to an Israeli Voice at a jury slim and a palestinian voice out of gaza. Joining me now, hala gorani tonight. Correspondent live from tel aviv. Hala, ahead of this impending Israeli Ground invasion, how close are we, perhaps, to a wider regional war as well . First, the impending invasion. We are learning from the palace and paris and also the apartment of the Prime Minister that Emmanuel Macron will be the latest european leader to visit israel to meet with the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. There was speculation that because the idf, the eyes really military had announced they would deepen and intensify the strikes in gaza. A ground advance it was eminent. At least for the next few days that will not happen. By the, way the dutch Prime Minister is also coming tomorrow, monday, as far as the regionalization of this, for i think it is so far not likely to happen anytime soon. There doesnt seem to be an appetite from hezbollah to join in this fight. The iranians so far, the words coming from them with the Minister Warning the u. S. And israel not to escalate things. The Prime Minister of israel visited the north of the country and essentially said that hezbollah would regret it if they enter the fray. If it does happen, it will be an entirely different war than the one that happened in 2006. By the, way it left hezbollah morales on top of things after the war ended. Hezbollah is a much bigger militia than hamas. They have estimated 100,000 missiles. They are battle hardened. They are fighters, they have been fighting in syria on the side of over a decade this is not the kind of war that the israelis confronted in 2006. Opening a second front there is going to be an entirely different proposition than just concentrating their efforts on gaza. , thank you for reporting, please do stay safe. Now, lets go to democratic congresswoman alexandria ocasiocortez, recently met with Family Members of hostages being held by hamas and has been calling for a ceasefire. Congresswoman, thank you for coming on the. Show is it fair for me to summarize your position, the position of your fellow progressives, that you are calling for hamas to release the hostages and for israel the u. S. To agree to a ceasefire . Correct, correct, thats absolutely correct. What would you say to the israelis who say they suffered horrific terrorist attack, over 1400 people, killed many in gruesome, ways children, killed abducted, so they say they are fighting a war selfdefense. A war that any other country including the u. S. Would fight if they were in the same position. What is your reaction to that line of argument . I think one of the things thats important to recognize about this situation is the asymmetry of what is going on as well as the collective punishment of what is happening to the Palestinian People at this moment. Hamas is absolutely engaged in horrific attacks. Every single day there are more details that are released about what occurred on october 7th that shocked the human consciousness. And shocks our conscience, our collective conscience, however we do know as well that war crimes do not constitute and are not an appropriate response for other roar crimes. Hamas is austin taking, they are Hostage Taking of, children of the disabled, elderly, civilians, they are a war crime. When we are talking about the blockading of water, food, electricity, to a population of 2. 2 million palestinians. We are talking about dropping what we are seeing from Human Rights Watch. Reports and confirmation, from organizations like amnesty international, Human Rights Watch. The dropping and deployment of white phosphorus, also a war crime. It is an acceptable to think that 1700 palestinian children alone, their deaths will somehow make up or justify the violence of what we saw on october 7th. Here in congress, every single year, we pass a defense budget. Every single year, we hear about the precision, the sophistication, the technological capacities to meet targets with such precise strikes. Yet, what we are seeing unfold in gaza is an indiscriminate bombing campaign. We are seeing the dropping of white phosphorus, indiscriminate weapon, we are seeing civilian centers being bombed, we are seeing churches. We are seeing thousands upon thousands of people being killed by the strike. It occurs to me, a question we all must ask ourselves, what price of innocent lives is acceptable in terms of targeting hamas . Are we even receiving . We are receiving daily counts every day about the number of innocent people that are dying. We are not seeing reports on how effective this has actually been in terms of dismantling hamas. I think its very important for us to raise that point. I think its important for us to understand that this is part of a larger intergenerational cycle of violence. So, you mentioned work. War crimes. Human rights watch did this week said hamas should be investigated for committing war crimes in southern israel, as you said. Israel is being Human Rights Watch and Amnesty Internatna just to be clear your view is that both sides are committing war crimes. 95 of our colleagues in Congress Wont even call for a ceasefire, let alone accused israel of war crimes. I dont see how anyone can look at Reputable International organizations, confirming the carrying a deployment of white phosphorus, by the Israeli Government, these really military. And say that theres no question here. In fact, josh paul, the state Department Official that resigned publicly this week, pointed specifically to this issue. That the leahy lies, laws, require United States to assess if a government is committing war crimes or engaged in gross violations of human rights. That must be considered in a weapons transfer or military aid assistance. And from an individual whose role directly involved the assessment and the deployment of these weapons in consideration of leahy, he himself is saying that u. S. Laws is, in his view, being violated. That must be an absolute consideration, because we are talking about the role of democracy. In fighting for democracy. The whole case for democracy. It lies upon and rests upon civil society, rule of law and the protection of human and civil rights. And we must make our case more so in wartime than almost any other time. To make the distinguish meant of what makes this different. Congresswoman, your critics would say that its all well and good calling for a ceasefire. That doesnt deal with the problem of hamas, doesnt protect israeli civilians from future hamas attacks. I wonder for example what is your response to senator schumer, majority leader schumer, who suggested in remarks, that punchbowl published on friday, that those of you progressives in the house who are calling for a ceasefire, or suggesting israel is attacking hospitals, or basically taking, he said, hamass position. You know, i have Great Respect for senator schumer. We enjoy a very strong working relationship. This is an, area of however, of disagreement. I would say that, if we want to see the how this is going, we can just look back at the many different cycles of violence in response. I do not believe that is, is absolutely not a defense of hamas. In order to criticize this current approach. This indiscriminate violent approach. 1700 children are dead. And when i think about the political aims of violence, the material aims of violence often involve the destruction of human life. In much of the horror that weve seen. Many of the political aims of violence is to further radicalize and entrench both parties into for the violence. And when we see people radicalized to dehumanize the palestinian population as a result of hamas, this is part of the goal of that political violence, and when we see the dehumanization of israeli families, as a result of this, this is part of the political aim. And we have to be able to get ourselves to break the cycle, because hamas and terrorism congresswoman, you would accept a ceasefire that would leave hamas in place . You would accept that the cost of saving civilian lives in gaza . I think, in the immediate sense, we have to have a pause. And what is going. And as you mentioned, only 14 trucks have made it through and humanitarian aid. We are talking about a full blockade of water for a population of 2. 2 Million People. 1. 1 Million People in Northern Gaza. In were supposed to think that 14 trucks is going to somehow, in any way, in any way, address what is happening in terms of the starvation, the, famine the thirst that is happening . We are now at a state where there is risk of cholera and other types of waterborne disease. I mean, what, 14 trucks of . What bottled water . On that note about about having to them, i cant open notice, you mentioned dehumanization, all almost all of at least 18 House Democrats who called for a ceasefire in gaza, or people of color. How much of the congressional indifference to palestinian life in gaza, the refusal in d. C. To acknowledge sometimes the humanity and innocence, not to mention the suffering of all ordinary gazans, how much of that is driven by the fact that theyre arabs . Or the muslims . They dont look like us . Do you think. I mean, i will say that i have long found the ignoring and sidelining of palestinians in u. S. House of representatives, the humanity of palestinian populations in the five years that ive been in congress, quite shocking. This is not something that is new to many of us. I have engaged alongside many of my colleagues, from betty mccollums bill on the detention, Conditioning Aid in making sure that its not going to the detention of children. To raising the routine human rights issues. Weve been trying to raise the alarm bells around this for years. There has been virtually no acknowledgment, in the United States house of representatives about the extreme plate and continued Human Rights Violations of the Palestinian People. For years. I think i find it alarming. I found it shocking. I found it shocking when, in 2019, or 2020 in our first term. Of the house of representatives, when a Prime Minister netanyahu band to United States sitting Members Of Congress, from coming to israel. Representatives Rashida Tlaib and ilhan omar. Bend to members of the United States congress from entering the country. That my own colleagues did not seem to say or do much of anything. That should be an affront to our entire government and country. So, you mentioned your colleagues in the congress before word out of time, ive got to ask you about the house bend to members of the United States congress from entering the country. That my own colleagues did not seem to say or do much of anything. That should be an affront to our entire government and country. So, you mentioned your colleagues in the congress before we run out of time, ive got to ask you about the house itself. You have no speaker right now, the republicans defend defenestrated kevin mccarthy. Couldnt agree on Steve Scalise or jim jordan. Now, byron donald, congressman from florida, wants to be speaker . What you make of him . Hes only served one term in the u. S. House of representatives, he, last thing that he did in the Oversight Committee was attempt to submit falsified evidence to an impeachment hearing. I think it helps to know where all the bathrooms are before the run for the u. S. House of representatives, personally. And i think it helps to have some real experience in one of the most complex legislative bodies in the world before you try to run it. Last question for you, just looking forward. Despite republican dysfunction, theyre still doing very well in the polls, in the president ial polls. Looking forward to develop over 2024, especially out this war in gaza. Thatee to be alienating a few key parts of t democratic base. Young voters, progressives, Arab American voters, in states like michigan. How worried are you about joe bidens reelection prospects, and the chances of donald trump returned to power . I think we need to understand that we one of the lessons that must be learned from Donald Trumps first election, it is not sufficient, and has never been sufficient to say, well, the other guys worse. I think its an argument that is very understandable. I understand it completely. And it is, on its, face correct. But where it is offensive, and where i think folks sometimes lack that sensitivity in that. Only some populations are asked to have the rights held hostage. To ask to other humanity in the humanity held hostage. And say, we dont really need to prioritize the policy demands of these constituencies, because of how much worse the opponent is. I think a democratic coalition, not just means involving protecting people, from erosion, it means actually championing and incorporating their Policy Priorities in our governance. We have a year, and i think its important to demonstrate that year to come. Congresswoman alexandra ocasiocortez, thank you, i appreciate. Thank you so much. Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke again today, according to the white house, the two leaders said there will be a, quote, continued flow of critical assistance into gaza. This, after two aid convoys arrived in gaza this weekend. Two leaders also discussed ongoing efforts to release all hostages with hamas. And ensure safe passage for u. S. Citizens and other civilians seeking to leave gaza. In the last hour, i spoke to independent israeli journalist, who joined me from jerusalem. Thank you so much for joining us on the show tonight. According to a poll from the Progressive Group data for progress, the American Public would prefer deescalation and a ceasefire right now. What is the mood in israel . How gung ho is the public there in terms of wanting to avenge the trauma that your country has undeniably endured, and wanting to just destroy hamas . I dont know how to gauge that. The most recent poll that asked adjacent question to i dont know how to gauge yours asked how many is really that. The most recent poll that asked adjacent question to support a Ground Invasion of gaza and this was on friday. 65 supported, it which surprised me a little bit. Because i thought there was more across the board support. I would say that almost every israeli you talk to now, of every sort, is pretty much in favor of getting completely rid of hamas from this earth. But im not sure that theyre clear ideas about how to do that, necessarily. And you recently wrote about whether joe biden can rein in the Israeli Government Ground Invasion, in general military strategy. What is the american israeli strategy here . You say that biden is now the senior partner in this relationship with bibi. He has him in a bear hug, you say. Does that give biden actual leverage over how and when israel conducts this Ground Invasion . I think it does. I think it absolutely does. I think that joe biden has made it very clear that the United States has its own interests in this conflict. That it is here, you know, to give israel and israelis a bear hug in a moment of huge trauma. But also to be a senior partner in, i would say, guiding, not directing, Guiding Israel towards different paths forward right now. When this war is over, and i dont know when that will be, we hopes as soon as possible, personally. When this war is over, is Benjamin Netanyahus political career over . After 9 11, george bush Approval Ratings went up. He was at 90 approval rating. My understanding, is people in israel are telling pollsters, they blame netanyahu for this. Theyre not happy with him. Thats right. Im glad you brought up, so many people are comparing this moment in israeli history with 9 11. Actually, thats a super important difference. Israelis hold netanyahu completely responsible. They dont accept the theory that he too was a victim of this surprise. Netanyahus been very vocal over the last many years that he had a theory that israel could absolutely live with a Terror Organization at its frontier. That israel could manage it. That has been proven to be wrong. In the israelis are holding him responsible. There was a spontaneous protest last night in tel aviv, of i dont know how many people, but several thousand people calling for the Israeli Government to bring the hostages home. And calling on netanyahu to take responsibility and to resign. I dont think hes gonna do that. Lets see what happens next. Noga tarnapolsky, we appreciate you staying up late for, us thank you so much for analysis. Please do stay safe. My pleasure. Thank you. Despite that dire fuel scarcity, neither of the two convoys carrying aid into gaza through the rafah Border Crossing this weekend included any fuel. In what was in those convoys was just a tiny, tiny fraction of whats needed for 2 million plus palestinians whove been cut off from food, water, medicine and powe, for weeks now. Earlier, i spoke to oxfam spokesperson, a palestinian living in gaza. Thanks so much for joining me today. Last time we spoke during the last major hostilities in gaza back in 2021, you were in your home in gaza city. I believe youve now had to move from your home. You and your family had to relocate. What has life been like for you and friends and neighbors and family over the past two weeks . Yes, indeed, thank you for having me, first of all. We have been now here in central gaza in a town called which is right after the line which was drawn for us to evacuate. Been ten days. Its a fairly small cottage that the family owns. We are with about 57 people in this place, with our two rooms and one hall, two toilets. Its not at all equipped or fit or reasonable for this number, especially under the current circumstances. They are friends and family. We move together, some of us moved already from our home in gaza city with the people who fled their homes in gaza city from the neighborhood, which was severely bombed. We are already receiving people. And we came altogether here, in addition to other relatives. Its very challenging, because of the very basic problems of water, fuel, bread, in addition to safety, of course, because airstrikes are continuing across the gaza strip, no matter where you are. You mention airstrikes. I have to say, these rallies say, as you know theyre not killing or targeting any people inside of gaza. They blame all palestinian so incessant a math civilian deaths on hamas. Who they seriousness of illiad as human shields. Forcing them to stay in their homes. Blocking them from leaving. Whats been your experience on the ground . What have you witnessed . Well, i mean, very basic information or instructions that were provided by the Israeli Military is to leave gaza, Northern Gaza to move south. First of all, they bombed the cars that were traveling that day and the next day. Tens were killed, including children, entire families. In the south here, there was heavy bombings. And any count or list of airstrikes can tell you, the number of airstrikes and the number of killings yesterday. They were like tens were killed in central gaza. Where everyone tries to go. To begin with, its not logical to even expect such evacuation, to request such evacuation to begin with. But also people want to actually add here by that, they have no capacity. I know there are thousands still stuck in the north and in gaza city, and have no place to go. And the situation in the south is very bad. I want to ask, were out of time, but i have to ask, joe biden has announced 100 million in aid for the west bank and gaza. 37 trucks have been coming in through rafah. Your spokeswoman for oxfam in gaza. Is there enough aid . Is it what your message to the president . Its very obvious to anyone who knows very little about the situation this is far from being any good move. Of course, aid is welcomed, the situation is extremely dire extremely dire. 20 trucks is not at all. Its a drop, really, in an ocean of needs, the lack of fuel. Water. Food. Medical supplies. There has been destruction of bakeries, grocery stores, everything in our area, in the south, everywhere. Why would you bomb bakeries again and again . We run out of bread. We are trying to make our own brett this morning. Last night, the kids were having cucumbers, because when they were hungry, we gave them cucumbers. The problem is the world knows all that, the world knows that the gaza humanitarian situation is already extremely dire, and before that date. Wayfair, youve got just what i need remember when sydney released a Kraken Powell was announced a new member of the, quote, truly great team of wonderful lawyers, collected by donald trump to overturn the 2020 election . His words. Remember when miss powell scored an oval office visit during which trump discussed naming her Special Counsel to investigate alleged rampant voter fraud. Well, funnily enough, donald trump doesnt seem to remember any of that. Miss powell was not my attorney. It never was. The former president roared on his failed Social Media Platform this morning. He may be suffering from a bout of amnesia, or is typically false declarations may have something to do with the fact that both Sydney Powell and ex Trump Campaign attorney, kenneth chesebro, flipped this week, deciding to plead guilty and testify against their codefendants in Fulton County District Attorney fani willis is r. I. C. O. Case. One notable caveat of their deals with willis, both must offer truthful testimony. Truthful testimony. Is this the proverbial nail in trumps legal coffin . When we come back, ill discuss that and more with msnbc legal analyst and former federal prosecutor, Barbara Mcquade. Lets dissect if you want to lower stroke risk from afib not caused by a heart valve problem, theres a better treatment than warfarin. Eliquis. Eliquis reduces stroke risk and has less major bleeding. More delicious, farmfresh taste. Plus, superior nutrition. Which is now more important than ever. Those latest legal developments in Fulton County, georgia. What it means for donald, j trumps own legal liability. With me now, Barbara Mcquade msnbc legal analyst, former u. S. Attorney in michigan. And a Law Professor at the university of michigan law school. Barb, thank so much for coming back on the show. You are a former u. S. Attorney. Seems like a pretty sweet set of deals for powell and chesebro. What are prosecutors getting in return for them . Yeah, we dont know exactly. We do know that were getting their truthful testimony. I agree, these are very good deals for both of these defendants. Neither of them will go to prison. Theyre pleading to, for chesebro, one felony. And for Sydney Powell, only misdemeanors. But there is a saying among the prosecutors, you never buy a paid in a poke. That is the idea that you dont buy something sight unseen. You want to see what youre getting before you offer the deal. These prosecutors have taken recorded proffers from both chesebro and Sidney Powell. They know exactly what they can say under oath in court. Its only after securing those proffers that these deals were finalized. I dont know exactly what they have to say you can guess they were involved in the fake elector scheme, they were involved in tampering with voting machines, in coffee county. Prosecutors want whats known as substantial assistance. That means that theyre going to advance the ball in the prosecution of other defendants. So, the fact that they got the Sweetheart Deals says, to me, they got the prosecution got a lot in exchange. Baird, earlier, we discussed how trump raged on lies after the the plea deals broke. He was opening up of the evidence against him at these two expedited trials. Do you think thats whats driving him, or at least his team . Well, its hard to know, get into the head of donald trump. I suppose, to some extent, hes angry about the disloyalty. He values loyalty above all else. Of course, with donald trump, so often, loyalty is just a oneway street. That perhaps as what is angering him. Yes, this is a benefit for the prosecution to be sure. When you try a case more than once, you have to show your hand. Although, discovery obligations may get the case that the prosecution turns over all the evidence anyway, thats still very different from seeing the way it gets used. Seeing how it comes into trial. Seeing the techniques that are used on cross examination. Also, mehdi, one thing that happens very frequently. You put a witness on the stand, they tell their story truthfully. But if theyre asked to tell the exact same story again, six months for a year later, invariably, witnesses will always have some Minor Discrepancies in irrelevant matters. A skilled Defense Attorney can make a big deal out of those irrelevant matters. Its a cloudy, day a sunny day, which is . It make it look like the witnesses lacks credibility, or theyre lying, they forgotten some ways. Not having to expose the witnesses to that double crossexamination is also very valuable. To fani willis. Quick last question, barr, of all of these developments freed into the jack smith case . Can federal prosecutors at the National Level use evidence or plea deals from a state case in their investigation . Well, not necessarily a plea deals. But if these two were to testify in the State Court Case that testimony can be used against them. Their admissions, their public statements, in the federal case. Which tells me that if i were the lawyer for either of these two defendants. I would be talking with jack smith about a pre indictment guilty plea with cooperation. Because it does not make a lot of sense to cooperate in one form, but not the other. Even though they havent been indicted yet, theyre unindicted coconspirators. If they want to get proactive, it would make sense to explore deals there too. Barbara mcquade, well have to leave it there. Always a pleasure. Thank you for analysis. Thank you, mehdi. Now, its time to hand it over to my good friend, ayman mohyeldin. Good evening, amen. Good evening, mary. I was gonna say, quick to see. In that interview with congresswoman alexandra ocasiocortez was, i thought, very revealing. Its something you and i know, weve talked about in the past. That had to do with the dehumanization of palestinians, i thought one of the moments that stood out to me in that interview, when the congresswoman talked about arriving to congress. And just hearing the lack of interest, the lack of care, if you will. About the palestinian issues, something that ive always said is at the forefront of the situation in the middle east. If that is not resolved, other issues dont get resolved. It was quite powerful, i would say, to hear her talk about how palestinian voices, palestinian lives, or reflected in congress, among other Members Of Congress interparty. She said, that aim, in response to my question pointing out that almost, all of the 18, almost all of 18 House Democrats of call for a ceasefire people of color. I, wonder i just wonder, whether thats part of the equation. Then you have by diversity in congress, more empathy for people in the middle east who maybe dont look like us, or were not familiar. With a look, the media has a role to play in this two. Jesse waters on fox, earlier this week, he said were the most anti palestinian, even by fox standards, racist rant ive heard. Have a listen. I dont think we can have Palestinian State at this point. Ive had it with the palestinians. Ive given up on the palestinians. If i wasnt israel, i wouldnt be talking about Palestinian State right now. I dont think joe biden should be talking about a Palestinian State right now. I dont like how people tried to differentiate between the palestinians and hamas. To me, i see people with guns. Thats almost. The people without the guns are the palestinians. They believe the same thing. The palestinians hired hamas to run the government. A man, one falsehood after another. One smear after another. Palestinians, one of the few minority groups left in america on planet earth, you can say whatever you want to. Yeah, absolutely. Again, not just fox, were hearing it from republican officials, calling palestinians in gaza antisemitic. Whole host of other derogatory terms. Thank you very much, mehdi, always a pleasure. Take care, my friend. Thanks. Coming up on ayman, Breaking News on the israelhamas war. War humanitarian aid has just arrived in gaza. As we discuss the human toll of the war. Plus, House Republicans fear their Speaker Problems could spell electoral disaster in 2024. Whos the next to flip . Our look at which Indicted Coconspirators In Georgia might be the next.
