Mount Joy set opening day for January 2nd

With all the new regulations, upgrades and trails now in place, Mount Joy is looking to open early in the new year.
“It’s exciting times,” says Mount Joy President Chris Bogue. “[There have been] lots of changes to the hill this year and we’re really confident that by the 2nd we’ll be ready to go.”
Bogue says the new upgrades to their snow making process means they can cover a larger area as well as gives them a bigger window to make snow without any effect from changing weather. He adds they passed over 600,000 gallons of water through their system this past weekend with groomers expected to smooth out the hills this weekend in preparation of opening day.
