More than a lemonade stand: Gillette Children's patient raises thousands of dollars to buy adaptive bikes for other patients

It's a lemonade stand that started off small but has always stood for something big.
Joe Carr, of Richfield, is a longtime patient of Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare. He has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair to get around and an augmentative communication device to talk.
This is the sixth summer he's held a lemonade stand to raise money for other Gillette patients. Every year, it gets a little bit bigger.
"The first year, we raised $200 and we thought that was a big deal," said Joe's mom, Kristi Carr. "The next year, it doubled ... and it just kept growing. Last year, we raised almost $11,000. It was insane!"
