Milford police searching for domestic violence suspect near Silver Sands State Park

MILFORD — Police have named the suspect in a violent domestic incident that led to a manhunt in Silver Sands State Park Monday afternoon.
The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Anthony Sliney. Police spokesman Mike DeVito asked that the public not approach Sliney if they see him, but instead call police.
He is described as 6-foot-tall man, weighing around 200 pounds.
Silver Sands State Park was closed shortly after noon on Monday as Milford Police and authorities with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection searched the shoreline park. The park has since reopened, a spokesman for DEEP confirmed shortly before 4 p.m., but directed all other questions to Milford police.
