LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) â Since the COVID-19 pandemic began more than a year ago, law enforcement agencies across the nation have reported a spike in speeding and fatal crashes.
To combat this trend, the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning (OHSP) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administrationâs Region 5 Office are partnering with five other states on a regional traffic safety campaign.
As part of the âGreat Lakes, High Stakesâ campaign, more than 30 municipal, county and Michigan State Police (MSP) law enforcement agencies will focus on speeding drivers between June 19 and 27.
