MHA invokes Disaster Management Act to ensure unobstructed inter-state movement of medical oxygen
The MHA, invoking powers under the Disaster Management Act, has directed states to ensure that the inter-state supply of medical oxygen is not obstructed for any reason whatsoever. Officials in violation of the order will be held liable.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) invoked the Disaster Management Act on Thursday after several states, including Delhi, cried foul over the shortage of medical oxygen. Political leaders even accused neighboring states of blocking the supply of oxygen at a time when India is battling the second wave of Covid-19 infections.
