MERIDEN — An investigation is underway into an incident that led to five police officers being sent to hospitals, according to a news release.
Officials found a Red Chevy Impala around 5:20 p.m. Monday that “matched the description of the vehicle used in a recent shooting,” Meriden Police Capt. John Mennone wrote in a summary of the incident.
The Chevy’s occupants saw police approaching them “and proceeded to drive their vehicle initially into two marked cruisers and subsequently into a third undercover vehicle,” Mennone said.
