Me̱ꞌpha̱a̱: An Indigenous Mexican community in Lawrence is saving their language from extinction

A local community of immigrants from Guerrero, Mexico, have teamed up with a coalition of KU professors to reclaim Me̱ꞌpha̱a̱: one of many Indigenous languages endangered by colonialism and the cultural erasure it’s inflicted for centuries.
