Bruce Hynes, chairman of the Marguerita Residence Corporation, met Friday morning with Alison Tutak, director of community services at the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, and counties treasurer Pat Huffman, after counties councillors earlier this week hesitated on a motion to provide the group with a $4 million loan.

That loan became necessary when another important financing option fell through, raising the prospect of a delay in the project.
“I had a really productive meeting with them,” said Hynes, although he could not discuss details.
