Marquess and socialite daughter charged after travelling from London to Bute
THE Marquess of Bute and his socialite daughter have been charged with allegedly breaking coronavirus legislation, after they reportedly fled London over the weekend to travel to the island. 
According to The Herald, John Crichton-Stuart and six others travelled to his ancestral home of Mount Stuart on the island, despite the ban on cross-Border travel. 
London is in the new English Tier 4, indicating a high prevalence of the virus. 
Bute is in the relatively low Scottish level 2.  
The Marquess, also known as John Colum Bute, is a former F1 driver who raced under the name Johnny Dumfries.
