BOLTON-born DJ Mark Radcliffe was back in his hometown retracing his childhood footsteps as he backed a campaign to preserve the historic Rivington Terraced Gardens for future generations.
The Bolton School old boy is the latest big name to support an appeal to raise money for the upkeep of the restored gardens, which because of the pandemic has lost tens of thousands of pounds through cancelled events.
Under the ‘Squarea’ initiative members of the public can sponsor a patch of land in the Japanese Garden, the Italian Lake, the Dell, the Woodlands, or the Lawns on the gardens, with funds being used to maintain the Rivington Gardens.
