Maritime Electric applies to P.E.I. regulator for rate hike to cover $37M in Fiona costs

After the federal government said no to aid and with no sign of money coming from the P.E.I. government, Maritime Electric has applied to be allowed to recover $37 million in post-Fiona power restoration costs through a customer rate increase that would come into effect in March.
