Mansfield police searching for suspect who stabbed woman over 30 times
Victim, in her 70s, was attacked while lying in bed

MANSFIELD - Mansfield police are searching for an unknown male suspect who stabbed a woman in her 70s over 30 times at 7:20 a.m. Thursday as she was lying in her bed in her apartment in the 900 block of Brookfield Drive, according to a news release from Mansfield police Capt. Shari Robertson.
Officers were called to the address in reference to an assault.
Upon arrival, officers were advised by Mansfield fire medical personnel that the female victim had been stabbed.
