Camping is restricted to developed campgrounds, campfires are permitted only between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., and landing and launching boats is restricted to developed shorelines only.
The restrictions follow a wildfire Thursday in the Carberry area, east of Brandon, that forced the evacuation of a number of homes, damaging one of them.
The Carberry North Cypress-Langford Fire Department said in a Facebook post Friday that while the investigation into the fire hadn't been completed, they suspected it was caused by an ATV.
The post said conditions in the area are extremely dry due to little snowfall over the winter.
