In federal court on Wednesday, a West Virginia man pleaded guilty to stealing more than $2.5 million worth of specialized mine equipment from sites in Indiana and Armstrong counties four years ago.
46-year-old Eudell Dickerson of Beckley, West Virginia pleaded guilty to two counts before Chief U.S. District Judge Mark Hornak. Dickerson told the judge that he and co-defendant David Stanley – and others – took the high-value equipment in five separate break-ins between February and May of 2017. The equipment was then sold to a company that sells new and used mining equipment in Beckley. Dickerson said he and others also stole equipment from mining sites in Virginia and Kentucky.
