Maggie's Place, the oldest Irish pub along the New York City St. Patrick's Day route on Fifth Avenue, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Dublin natives Teddy and Maggie Whelan opened Maggie's Place on E 47th Street in 1974 and the pub has remained within the family ever since.
