LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Middle-High School closed on Jan. 7 after staff members tested positive for COVID-19, and district Superintendent Roger Catania said Tuesday, Jan. 12 that he plans to reopen the school for in-person learning Tuesday, Jan. 19, a day after the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, when quarantines for staff expire and they are able to return to work.
On Monday, Catania said in a Facebook post that one staff member and one student tested positive, in addition to a case at the FEH BOCES Adirondack Education Center, which forced a student and staff member from Lake Placid to quarantine.
