Discussions will revolve around future challenges facing the media industry in a digital world as the 19th Arab Media Forum, to be held virtually for the first time, kicks off on Wednesday.

Mona Ghanem Al Marri, director-general of the Dubai Media Office and vice-president of the UAE Gender Balance Council, said speakers and participants at the forum will essentially dwell on the impact of digitalisation on the media sector and how to handle it in the time to come, apart from other important issues.
