Longtime Wayland officer dies at home

A veteran Wayland police officer was found dead in his home on Sunday, Town Administrator Louise Miller said.
The cause of Officer Christopher Cohen's death is not known and is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police. Foul play is not suspected, Miller said.
Cohen was a graduate of the Wayland Public Schools and joined the Wayland Police Department in 1996, according to Interim Chief Sean Gibbons.
"He proudly served the community, holding many positions with the department, including detective, patrol officer, arson investigator and crime scene technician," Gibbons posted on Facebook. "He was a loyal and dedicated member of the department who will be missed."
