Local Rastafari welcome overseas support
Members of the Rastafari United Front of St Lucia with some of the supplies aboard the Ocean Queen, last Friday.
Rastafari who have been displaced by the eruptions of the La Soufrière volcano and who are experiencing challenges related to their dietary practices, have received some ease in this regard.
Last Friday, a quantity of food catering specially to their dietary needs, as well as other items, arrived from St. Lucia via the MV Ocean Queen, which docked at the Blue Lagoon port under the watchful eye of SVG Coast Guard units.
The donation came compliments the Rastafari United Front of St Lucia, who coordinated contributions from local (St. Lucian) business houses, as well from the Chronixx Foundation and sources in Canada.
