Local author Gene Miller autographed copies of his latest book, Harry Montgomery Hometown Hero, at the Lone Rock American Legion Memorial Day Service on May 29.
The book is about local soldier, Harry Montgomery from Swea City, who was killed in action during WWII on July 13, 1944 near St. Lo, France. Montgomery was initially interred in the La Cambe Cemetery at Normandy, France.
