Lipizzaner haute école at Mistico

Kyalami’s famous Lipizzaners are now housed on the doorstep of Paarl.
After decades in Gauteng, the famous South African Lipizzaners Riding Academy successfully relocated its horses to Mistico outside Paarl.
The horse convoy consisting of 33 magnificent Lipizzaners arrived safely last week.
The Lipizzaners were, for decades, a very popular institution in Kyalami, Gauteng, were they used to host a performance every Sunday. But due to financial strain brought on by the lockdown, the decision was made to relocate the academy to the Western Cape to try and tap the province’s strong tourism market.
At Mistico the horses will be settled in with their training routines continuing and once lockdown regulations are relaxed, a closer look will be taken at public performances.
