One possibility is that because in the past few years these reeducation camps and the repression of the uighur minorities have been widely reported in the international media, and that gives china a lot of pressure, and these kinds of trials can give china slightly more legitimate reasons to transfer these detainees from caps to present, so they camps to prison, so they can give an answer. Brent some type of legal cover. We heard in the report that some detainees disappear after the trials. Doing know what happens to them . It is hard to say for sure where they went, where they have gone, but from the witness, we know it is highly possible that they are taken to a highsecurity Detention Camp or a prison, but since there is no official documents, or even we dont have documents about the names of people that went through the trials. It is really hard to say for sure. Brent the Chinese Government claimed earlier this is that everyone who had received this socalled reeducation and had gone through the camp, they would graduate, and if they graduated, they are, according to china, leading happy lives now. What do we know . Is that true . From our research, this is absolutely not true. As you can see from the report, many are taken to prison or these highsecurity detention centers. From satellite image that we analyzed, we can see these highsecurity facilities have expanded in the past years. It is likely that many detainees are still being kept in these camps, and also, we solve reports that some of these detainees were actually transferred to factories inside or across other cities in china. So, they were forced to work in factories as false labor, and some of these factories produce for international companies, including german companies. Brent your reporting is important to get these stories out, and it leads us to the question of what is being done internationally to put pressure on china over the treatment of its uighur minority. So far the International Committee has been quite about this.
