GENEVA, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- The week-long meeting of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) concluded on Friday here and a new interim and unified executive authority has been elected as scheduled.
UN Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General Stephanie Williams announced after the voting that Mohammad Younes Menfi has been elected as President of the three-person Presidency Council, and the other two members of the Council are Mossa Al-Koni and Abdullah Hussein Al-Lafi.
She also announced that Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibah has been elected as Prime Minister-designate.
"On behalf of the United Nations, I am pleased to witness this historic moment. The importance of the decision that you have taken here today will grow with the passage of time in the collective memory of the Libyan people," the UN envoy said.
