I’d not heard the term “critical race theory” before reading Don Bolduc’s My Turn of 26 March.
My math/physics background started me thinking it was a noun, like Einstein’s “e=mc squared.” Turns out it’s a verb, a process of attempting to understand how we got here. So, I dug into HB544 and it appeared that I was reading something straight out or Orwell.
The state was attempting to declare that it wasn’t something, as if that made it true. How Stalinist!
Research shows that N.H. was founded by white men who refused the vote and ownership of property to women and people of servitude and/or skin color. If we are to hold to the ideals of our Unanimous Declaration of Independence, we need to examine how we got here and work to move toward the State of NH drawing its just powers from the consent of the governed. Only then can it fulfill the purpose of any government, to ensure the inalienable Rights granted by the Creator.
