The Oscars are headed to downtown Los Angeles' Union Station this year for the first time, but the historic site and active transportation hub is already a movie star.
John Parkinson and his son Donald Parkinsonâs stunning blend of Mission Revival and Art Deco styles has been a popular film site since it was completed in 1939, with supporting roles in movies from âBlade Runnerâ to âThe Dark Knight Rises.â
âVisually, itâs such an incredible place and itâs such a throwback to old Hollywood,â said J.J. Levine, a location manager. âI love that the Oscars are going to be there."
