We can see storm surge as high as 11 feet that is going to be a concern with Hurricane Nate has made one landfall and nearing a secondary landfall likely along the mississippi coastline so heres the center of circulation of Hurricane Nate or the eye of the hurricane right about here. So just offshore of the louisiana theres that eye wall just about to make its push on shore in the mississippi area. Still a category one hurricane as of the latest advisory from the National Hurricane center which just disseminated a few minutes ago. Winds at 85 Miles Per Hour motion off to the north at 20 miles an hour. Very fast moving storm. At one point it was moving at about 28 Miles Per Hour forward speed today and that is the fastest on record for a gulf hurricane. It will continue to move that northerly motion and then as we head into the day tomorrow, weakening to Tropical Storm then moving up into the tennessee valley. Eventually becoming extra tropical as it nears the northeast. But it is going to enhance our atmosphere and provide us with a Pretty Healthy rain chance all is quite though right now as we get live look at center city philadelphia. Now a gunshot victim in Critical Condition at penn presbyterian medical center. If whoever needed something so badly, all they had to do was ask her. But to do this, this is ugly. This is ignorant. This is unnecessary. Report roar Philadelphia Police say around 8 30 friday night, 30 minutes before the corner store what close for the night at least one gunman shot the woman in the back and neck. A neighbor called 911 after walking into buy cigarettes and seeing the store owner bleeding unable to speak. Think this is someone from the area that goes in there and thinks theyre going to have an easy time of get something money at the end of the night, but obviously, at some point fired the gun critically wound thinking person changing these peoples lives four ever. Reporter investigators are reviewing surveillance video. They believe that the motive was rob appreciate although they say it doesnt appear anything was taken. Newark police say a man arrested earlier this week for allegedly harassing students on campus has now been reported missing. 27yearold david tie mass was last seen in newark early this morning driving a damaged brown mini van. Hes now bald. He no longer looks like. He mass made statements that cause concern for himself and others. He has no affiliation witness university. If you see him Contact Police right away. A search for missing elderly woman in toms riff ended tragically. 79yearold martha hess was found dead in a wooded area within the Holiday City Senior Community this morning. She had been missing since thursday. Authorities do not believe foul play is involved. And power has been restored to a neighborhood in Camden County tonight after a car struck a utility pole. This crash happened just after midnight on white horse pike near egg harbor road in berlin. You can see the pole and some downed wires there blocking the roadway. No word on the condition of the driver or what caused this crash. And still no word on what sparked a quickmoving fire that destroyed a home in middletown Delaware County today. Flames broke out at a home on the 300 block of south New Middletown road at about 3 00 this afternoon. Take look there. You can see the flames and smoke pouring out of that home. Firefighters were on that scene for about two hours. Luckily no one was injured. Now police in london rule out terrorism after a car slams into group of people in a popular tourist area. It happened earlier today outside the Natural History museum. 11 people were hurt. But luckily no one was killed. Officials are calling eight road traffic accident. Authorities say one man was detained at the scene and he has not been charged. Massive gas explosion lit up the sky in the capitol of ghana tonight. Officials say it was second blast that left a number of casualties. The gas filling station is near a transport terminal also some university haas stills. Officials say its too early to know exactly how many people died. To the very latest now in las vegas vicepresident mike pence and mrs. Pence visited the memorial site for the 58 victims killed in the mass shooting on sunday. The second family brought flowers to lay at the crosses of the deceased. The two were met with applause as they departed the site. 58 doves were also released just outside of Las Vegas City Hall after the vicepresident said a prayer for all of the victims. United in our grief, united in our support for those who have suffered and united in our resolve to end such evil in our time. As for the gunman responsible for the tragedy lavas gas police and fbi are still working trying to figure out a motive behind the violence. Now the city of philadelphia is certainly remembering the victims of that mass shoot tonight. Hundreds of folks turn out for a vigil at the cathedral basilica of saints peter and paul. Natasha, so many went there with heavy hearts they are still reeling from the sunday nights mass shooting. They prayed and hope the prayers get to the victims in vegas and their families. Reporter red candles lit in the cathedral base of saints peter and paul in physical. 58 of them one by one lit in the basilica on the communion rail. Each one a burning memory of each life lost last week in las vegas. The lord this mass special focus on sundays mass shooting that has become the worst in american history. Nearly 60 are dead, hundreds more shot and injured. And so many families forever changed. What happened was just horrible what happened to all those people and all those parents who out of the children. She like many here came with heavy hearts hoping to get lift through the power of prayer. I believe in god and coming for prayer and to there be for those people that are hurting, and hoping that they know that theres people out there that do care about them. Its synonomous with lot of things that his life as he tries to overcome obstacles. You can find an alternative method to achieve what your goals are. Hes anarch part of the team. He does everything from chasing balls for to us charting plays to he gives the pregame speech in most games. The boys have really just rallied around him and really just made him feel a part of it. Over the course of the season coles role on the team has expanded to the point where hes actually helping them draw up plays but everything is always been on the side lines. Until today. For being part of the team for being important part of the team, and because were short players today, youre going to dress. The weather pattern is going to turn a little bit more unsettled as we head into the next couple of days as we contend with the remnants of Hurricane Nate but storm scan3 right now quiet conditions though we will start to see the cloud deck increasing throughout the overnight period and then up wind we have a cold front draped across portions of the midwest and then of course eyes focused on Hurricane Nate down along the gulf coast as the cold front continues to move eastbound it will pick up that moisture in association with nate and drag it right into our backyards so for tomorrow well see enhanced moisture in the wave scattered showers and maybe even a thunderstorm tomorrow. Main soggy day will be period of rain on monday with remnants overhead and expect some of those heavy tropical like downpours so we certainly could see ponding on the roadways on monday. And potentially localized flooding. We havent had measurable rainfall in philadelphia and in about two and a half weeks but yeah have the shower or storm in the forecast for tailgating. The birds versus the birds. Good birds, lame birds. 79 degrees warm at kickoff feeling summer like once again tomorrow. Future weather showing us as we head throughout the overnight period, clouds hanging aid rou round. Few showers developing late especially west of i95 and potential to see some scattered showers or even thunderstorms on an october morning. Throughout the day we again could see scattered shower and storm activity not going to be a washout but do have backup plan for outdoor plans tomorrow as we head into sunday night well see some more activity flaring up again especially west of i95 and then as we head into monday, could see maybe a dry monday morning commute but the bulk of that moisture will start to move in during the day on monday. Overspread the area. See pockets of heavier rainfall potentially imbedded thunderstorms as we deal with the remnants of nate on monday. For tonight pretty quiet, warm breeze, 73 with a chance of a shower late. For tomorrow, scattered showers and a thunderstorm possible including during the morning hours. Little bit of a breeze once again and High Temperature well above our average at 80 degrees. We keep things warm and humid as we head into early next week. 79 degrees thats the day we deal with nate on columbus day but still warm and even into tuesday as we start to dry thing out were at 83 degrees. But eventually these temperatures break down and become more seasonal as we head towards the end of the week though it looks like we could have cloudiness around because of an easterly wind off the ocean thursday and friday.
