Its famous feuds through the decades. Feuds. They are fights that go on and on. And on. Many of us have them with family, but history has witnessed ongoing arguments among rival scientists, sports figures, politicians and even actors. Today here on through the decades, were taking the hour to look back at some famous feuds throughout history. From the duel between Alexander Hamilton and aaron burr that ended a bitter rivalry as well as hamiltons life. To comedians jack benny and fred allens pretend feud that spanned nearly 20 years across both radio and television. But we begin with the 1959 debate, when politicians from the soviet union and the u. S. Went toetotoe on television. The summer of that year, Vice President Richard Nixon was visiting to moscow as part of a cultural exchange. That trip would earn a place in history, thanks to an impromptu debate with the soviet premier that would forever be known as the kitchen debate. For four days now, some of the 20th centurys most extraordinary diplomatic maneuvers have been taking place in moscow. Vice president Richard Nixon and soviet premier Nikita Krushchev have thrown away the rules of polite diplomacy, it would seem, and are engaging in roughand tumble impromptu debate. 15 years after the end of world war ii and just a few years before some of the hottestmoments of the coldwar, honest debate was on display in moscow right alongside the newest of american housewares. Before his Famous Television president ial debate with senator john f. Kennedy, nixon got to test his chops in front of a camera against the leader of americas greatest rival. In what may be remembered as the strangest contest in political history, nixon traded barbs with soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev in a debate named for the bizarre venue it took place in a model kitchen. The topics ranged from rockets, communism and capitalism, war and freedom to Color Television and the kitchen sink. Vice president nixon escorts soviet premier krushchev on a preview of the United States fair at sokolniki park in moscow. Just a month after a soviet exhibit went on display in new york, nixon would help open the american version in russias captial city. But on this occasion, traditional diplomacy goes by the board and the story of the fair itself is eclipsed by a crackling exchange between nixon and krushchev. Soon after setting foot inside the shows model kitchen with Television Cameras rolling, krushchev both playful and filterless started to make a case against americas capitalist lifestyle. Well then, we will say america has existed 150 years and this is her level of achievement. We have existed not quite 42 years and in 7 years from now, we will be on the same level of achievement as america. In the following years, we shall continue to surge ahead, and when we shall overtake you at the crossroads, we shall greet you. applause every aspect of the cold war and sovietamerican rivalry is argued in blunt and forthright terms. There are some instances where you may be ahead of us for example in the development of your, of the thrust of your rockets for the investigation of outer space. There may be some instances, for example, Color Television, where were ahead of you. But in order for both of us. For both of us to benefit. You see, you never concede anything. Wait till you see the picture. The words sound fierce and harsh, as if they might increase International Tensions and plunge the world into a new cold war crisis, but strangely, is does not seem to be happening. The two principles, nixon and khrushchev, are still smiling, apparently enjoying the electric aura that their talks are producing. As to the question of social systems, if you want to live under capitalism, go ahead and live. This is your business. This is your internal affair and it doesnt concern us. We can only sympathize with you, but after all if you dont know how to live, live as you know. I want you, the Vice President , to give your word that my speech will be recorded in the english language. It will be yes. Certainly it will. Your hand. At the same token, everything that i say will be recorded and translated and will be carried all over the soviet union. Thats a fair bargain. applause and then nixon and krushchev continued their tour of the United States exhibition, halting at a kitchen in that model home. There they held whats becoming to be known as the kitchen summit conference, discussing among other things, the capitalist attitude towards women. The soviet premier looked at a washing machine and said that the russians had such things too, but he didnthare the capitalistic preoccupation with making life easier for women. And then krushchev teed off on the model home itself, saying that such houses would only last 20 years but russians believe in building houses to last longer. That goodwilled verbal sparring continued through multiple venues during nixons visit. Despite the obvious differences, there seemed to be a shared desire for peace. Said he, the two nations must Work Together to break the ice between them one of the most effective moments of mister nixons remarkable tour of russia. Krushchev would agree to an invitation from president eisenhower to visit the United States in september. I most sincerely hope that as you come to see and believe these truths about our people, there will develop an improved basis on which we can together consider the problems that divide us. russian while peace is advantageous to all nations, this is the basic principle that we believe the statesmen of all countries should be guided by in order to realize the aspirations of the people. It was the last time khrushchev would be this open with the u. S. And the last time Richard Nixon would meet with the man as we continue our look back on famous feuds, we look back on the deadly battle between two prominent american politicians a story that would be retold on broadway more than 200 years later. The premiere of a controversial t. V. Show that made two animated teenage degenerates pop culture phenomenons. Plus, the Television Game show that would pit two families against each other. And we remember the long running faux feud between two comedians, billed the battle of the century. Alexander hamilton. He came to this country alone at the age of 15. This immigrant from the west indies fought in the revolutionary war, was George Washingtons right hand, an author of the federalist papers and built the foundation of our modern financial system. Aaron burr was Vice President of the country, and these two men did not see eye to eye. Alexander hamilton hasnt always been the top billing of our american founding fathers. Until recently, he was introduced to americans a bit like this. President washington selected Alexander Hamilton to serve as the first secretary of the treasury. True. But what else did most of us know of his story . The guy on the 10 dollar bill. He was president right . Who knows . Its not something that is as widely known as a George Washington or Something Like that. Its no discredit to aaron burr or anyone else from that era to say that their accomplishments were not on par with those of Alexander Hamilton. Ron chernow is the author of the 2004 Alexander Hamilton biography, and in it, he brings light to perhaps the best known events of hamiltons life. Colonel burr, are you ready . Yes, i am. Present i dont know whether its correct to fault burr for having killed hamilton since this was violence between consenting adults. The duel between aaron burr, then Vice President , and Alexander Hamilton would cast hamilton as a bit of a hero with an unfulfilled destiny while burr was labeled a traitor. as attorney general, as senator for the state of new york, as Vice President to Thomas Jefferson all of his contributions have been obscured. Honor had to be restored and to the extent that Alexander Hamilton refused to do that, than the duel became inevitable. But, it is Lin Manuel Mirandas musical, hamilton that has helped illustrate chernows inveterate construction of hamilton as a vtly more complex and human story. Im past patiently waiting, im passionately smashing every expectation, every actions an act of creation im laughing in the face of casualties and sorrow. For the first time, im thinking past tomorrow. Hamilton, he was a firecracker. Hcouldnt keep his mouth shut. He kept, he would always say whats on his mind and i love that about this guy. This scrappy, ambitious and brilliant man emerged from humble immigrant roots to develop the spirit of the american character and engineer the Political Foundation of an infant nation. My father was mexican, i cant separate the idea of that part of this message of the immigrant side of Alexander Hamilton who comes into this world and says, i have to take this opportunity or i will be brushed aside or i will be left behind and that is what people think about as the United States, as the american dream. As go there take your shot. I am not throwing away, my shot. I am not throwing away my shot. And yo, im just like my country, im young, scrappy and hungry and i am not throwing away my shot. The musical has brought hamilton to the masses. The man who realized the countrys future viability and power would come from Financial Systems and industry, now has made this centuries old argument relevant and resonant. The man who arugued for a strong federal government and was instrumental in ratifying the newly written constitution is a pop icon. He says, now for a strong central democracy. If not then ill be socrates throwing verbal rocks at these mediocrities. come on. How do you even think of that . Weve been fighting about the same stuff for 200 years whether its immigration, whether its foreign policy, whether its. When are we a state . When are we a country . Thats in the fabric of the compromises that lead to the formation of our country and you have to think if it that way. You cant think of it as these stone tablets that came down from on high. While Alexander Hamilton was in there creating our country and creating all these things, he has turmoil with his family and turmoil with his inner fire that he has and so thats the biggest thing to take away is to remember that they were all just people in an unbelievably pressurized situation and how they created what they created and what they did at the time is unbelievable. It was a buh of different colonies trying to figure out how they could live together and theres, you know, theres cracks in that foundation and were always going to be figuring out how to mend those cracks. Rise up, when you are living on your knees you rise up. Tell your brothers hes gotta rise i dont say that. John lawrence says that. But, theres something there. Theres something there for a country, for groups of people, for just a people in general that are feeling left out or left behind or anxious or nervous or about anything, whatever it is, that message you got to rise above it. Were going to rise above it and were going to be great. Still to come, we remember the premiere of a controversial show that made two animated teenage degenerates pop culture phenomenons. Plus, we take you back to the day that joe frazier battled muhammad ali in a timeless match dubbed the fight of the century. This is through the decades. Century. This is through the decades. These two animated teenage knuckleheads were best friends, as they spent all of their time together. However, that time was spent watching music videos and disagreeing on the merits of the productions. Their altercations were often physical and the verbal spars unforgiving. Beavis and butthead. The animation was crude and in the 90s they were a pop cultural force. It made me laugh so i hoped it would make other people laugh but i didnt think it would be quite this huge. I hoped that it would be popular. And was it ever. Lasting 222 episodes and even spawning a feature film. But explaining beavis and butthead wasnt easy. Theyre, you know, two deviant metalheads but there is a moronic charm about them. I mean, theyre idiots but you might end up liking them. They do say things that you might think but never would find yourself saying. They have really short Attention Spans and they dont of course, they dont read much. They read street signs and things like that. Most of the time, theyre just looking for some cheap thrill basically and watching t. V. They go to school sometimes. I think theyre kinda funny and i think thats their main redeeming characteristic. Breakin the law hmmm, yeah, lets burn something mike judge, who not only created the show but voiced the characters and their laughs, says he came up with the concept in 1991 after realizing beavis and buttheads are everywhere. I was thinking about kids i knew in junior high and, you know, they had their heavy metal tshirts real serious, megadeath or something you know like real tough guys but they also have braces, you know, and so theyre at that awkward age. Theyre like 13 or 14. Where they wanna be real tough kids in the mall smoking but they still have to get their braces tightened, you know, so that they can get their teeth corrected before they grow up. Reactions to the show varied. Some thought it brilliant while others called it lewd an inappropriate. And it wasnt just the grownups. At the Glenfield Middle School in montclair, new jersey, the topic in mr. Mccarthys social studies class this week was yes. Its the beavis and butthead show. What is the attraction for beavis and butthead . Why are so many kids watching it . Its vulgar. And i think kids these days, they like vulgarness. Its not encouraging people to be stupid. Its making fun of stupid people. If thats what you think is funny, i mean, what is our Society Coming down to . But in october of 1993, beavis and butthead would be thrust in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. A tragedy allegedly inspired by a Cable Television program watched by many children is focusing new attention on what our kids watch on t. V. How did we get from leave it to beaver to beavis and butthead . from programs about morals to programs about morons. A 5yearold set a fire that killed his little sister. His mom blamed an episode of beavis and butthead for depicting fire as fun. In the middle of all the controversy, mtv has refused all requests for interviews. But it has pulled 5 of the most controversial episodes, removed all references to fire and moved the program from its 7 p. M. Time slot to 10 30. The cartoon became a focal point in a larger cultural war that would come to define the 90s. A cruder, unpolished show that was ratings gold for genxers. Even as and maybe because their parents and teachers couldnt quite understand the point. The fact that students are looking at something that says school is bad. And it kind of glorifies the people in a sense that dont do well in the school. Instead of dissiminating the best in our culture, television too often panders to our lowest common denominator. But not everyone thought the mtv cartoon was to blame. Parents in this country cant afford to stay home and raise their own kids. Thats the problem. Its not, you know, and scapegoating beavis and butthead is, under these circumstances, its preposterous. But that, says dr. Barbara stagger, as a mother of two boys and director of adolescent medicine at Childrens Hospital in oakland, california, is precisely why we need to be more careful about what we put on television today. And we have to look at how were doing things and who is raising our children. Right now, most kids are getting raised by their television sets. But the people in charge give their viewers more credit than that. You know, theyre over the top cartoon characters and i think people can distinguish the difference between whats real and whats fiction. You know, theyre clearly caricatures and toons if you will. As we continue our look back on famous feuds, we remember the premiere of a Television Game show that pits two families against each other as they try to outguess each other. Plus, we relive Zsa Zsa Gabors notorious slap. Youre watching through the decades. Youre watching through the decades. Famiy feud is one of the most successful t. V. Game shows in broadcast history and made survey says an enduring american catch phrase. Name something you can do with a nose. Blow. Blow a nose . Let me see blow. Its one of the most iconic game shows in u. S. Broadcasting history. Family feud premiered on the abc daytime schedule on july 12, 1976. Since then, it has been one of the most popular game shows on the air. It was created by the prolific game show producer, mark goodson the man responsible for shows like the price is right, password and match game. Goodson selected one of match games star panelists, richard dawson, as the host for family feud. The british entertainer was already wellknown to american audiences primarily for his role on the 60s sitcom hogans heroes. But family feud gave dawson a chance to interact with real people. We taped 5 shows in one day and not come home high, i mean just high on people. That love of people was symbolized by his incessant smooching with female guests. All women received a kiss on the lips from dawson, whether they were black or white, young or old. His son, mark, says one sponsor threatened to pull commercials from the show if he didnt stop kissing black contestants. He was just irate about that. And he went on and he wouldnt start the show. And he did a monologue where he basically said, you know, look if you have a problem with humans, take it up with the creator upstairs. Black, white, yellow or red it didnt matter. ratings for the show fell short at first. But within a year, family feud became the no. 1 game show on daytime television. Introducing the welcome back kotter family. Abc was also occasionally airing primetime family feud specials usually involving celebry casts. But the initial success of the show was waning by the mid 1980s and it was cancelled in 1985. Within 3 years, the show was back with a new host comedian ray combs and a new network, cbs. Richard dawson returned to host in 1994 before it was again cancelled in 1995. But family feud was too popular to disappear for long. It returned to syndication in 1999 with comedian Louie Anderson as host. And in 2010, host steve harvey helped bring the show back to top. With his help, family feud became one of the 5 most popular syndicated Television Shows in the country. Its a development which would have pleased richard dawson, who died in 2012. Still to come on through the decades. The decadeslong feud between two comedy greats, and we remember when a showbiz legend found herself in trouble with the law in a slap heard round the world. It was one of those cant miss t. V. Moments that would go down as the most censored network talk show interview. In 1994, madonna appeared on the late show with David Letterman and unleashed a barrage of fbombs, smoked a cigar and refused to leave the stage. At the time, madonna had spent more than a decade making headlines for her outrageous behavior as much as her music. Then on march 31, 1994, in a perfect storm of ratings and personality, she was booked on late night with David Letterman at the time, the no. 1 late night talk show. Only on this night, madonna sat down with dave and then she refused to get off the stage. You are always bleep with me on the show. You are always bleep with me on the show. You are always bleep with me on the show. It wasnt just the dozen or so fbombs she dropped or the sexual inneunedo that made letterman blush. She just went nuts. She was just was hysterical or something and started using foul language invoking all manner of carnal reference. She asked dave if he was wearing a rug and told him that money had made him soft. But after sparring for a while, the exasperated talk show host was ready for his next guest. Only, madonna wouldnt leave. She wont leave. We cant get rid of her it seemed like even the audience had had enough. I was the glad when the audience cheered when they said they wanted to get her off. She wasnt fast enough for dave. She wasnt. She needs to stick to singing and dancing. She does that well. I think she was a little gross, grossed me out a little bit with the mouth. I dont think there was any call for that. But not everyone had a problem with the material girls appearance. It was great. She was out of control. Well, right now shes like worth 100 million dollars. I think her careers really well right now. Were here talking about her right . Time magazines chris farley said madonnas appearance was typical madonna seeking attention and pushing buttons. Shes always looking for a line to cross so if she has crossed a line, then shes succeeded. Thats the whole point to find a new line, cross it, look for the next line, move on. The nowinfamous interview got off to a rocky start when dave introduced her by listing her accomplishenmnts including the fact that she had slept with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Our first guest tonight is one of the biggest stars in the world. In the past 10 years, she has sold over 80 million albums, starred in countless films and slept with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Later dave accepted some of the blame. She apparently was upset with me because we kept making jokes about her and i always thought that that was kind of the point that she wanted a lot of attention and that she wanted people to be talking about her and so we kept making jokes sort of about the kind of things that she was doing and i just think well if you do that kind of thing, you sort of have to expect people will be making jokes. So i just thought we were part of the equation, you know, ill do something silly and someone will comment on it. You know, i mean i thought thats what she had wanted. Well, she was upset that we kept making these jokes about her and then she wanted to come on and tell her side of it or confront me with it and she just went nuts. Despite the shocking interview, daves ratings that night were one of the highest of his career. And in the end, everyone knew, it was just business. But you know, it all turned out. We were just kids trying to make a buck. An overly hyped heavyweight boxing match is nothing new. Many times the match never lives up to the build up but this was different. When we return, were taking you back to 1971 to relive the fight of the century. This is through the decades. Some of the greatest spectacles in sports often involve deep rivalries. In boxing, there were few deeper than the one between muhammad ali and joe frazier. That rivalry began in a classic bout at Madison Square garden in 1971. Days after he shocked the world defeating sonny liston in boxings world heavyweight championship, cassius clay came forward with an announcement. Cassius clay is a name no more, is that right . Yes sir. Its muhammad ali. Muhammad means worthy of all praises and ali means most high in the asian, african language. How long have you had the name . Well for about. Two weeks now. Clays namechange and adoption of islam was an early indicator that he had other fights in mind not just the ones inside a boxing ring. Over the next few years, while defending his title 9 times, he grew more and more outspoken. In 1967, his candor would nearly derail his career when he refused to fight in the vietnam war. It has been said that i have two alternatives either go to jail or go to the army. Ali claimed be a Conscientious Objector on the basis of his religion, but instead, was largely vilified as a draft dodger, stripped of his title along with his license to box. Im not allowed to work in america. Im not allowed leave america. Home of the brave, land of the free. While ali battled it out in the courts, a new champ emerged to take his spot in the ring. Philadelphias own smokin joe frazier. Fraziers quiet demeanor stood in stark contrast to alis loud personality but with a powerful punch that did most of the talking, frazier was decidedly menacing. He claimed two championship belts in alis absence, earning a ferocious reputation. One ali continually tried to tear down but without a license to box, all he could do was taunt from the sidelines. Which he did, rather poetically. Ali comes out to meet frazier but frazier starts to retreat. If frazier goes back any further, hell wind up in a ringside seat ali swings with the left ali swings with the right look at the kid carry the fight. But in 1970, as the Political Climate shifted inmerica, alis license to box was reinstated in atlanta, georgia and eventually new york city. Hed been out of boxing for nearly 3 and a half years but never doubted his ability to return to form and after two tuneup fights, he called for joe frazier. Getting sick and tired of all this mess. Joe frazier, the heavyweight champion of the world clumsy, ugly, flat footed joe frazier. Ill show you what a real champion is. Ill show you what a real champion is take that thing on down, i aint that heavy move it on down commissioner. Ill straighten it all out. 215 pounds. You know hes in trouble. You know hes in trouble the match was set for march 8, 1971, at Madison Square garden and the buildup could not have generated more excitement. If joe frazier whips me, im going to get on my knees. Get on my knees and crawl across the ring, look up at him and say, you are the greatest. You are the champion of the whole world ali applied his signature mental intimidation while frazier played it cool and confident. Well im fast and im big and i feel like i can go all the way too if we have to. But do you think that his speed will represent a special problem for you . I dont think his speed will do anything to me. I can slow that speed down. The only problem i think will be with him, really, is really trying to get him down to fight. Both fighters were olympic gold medalists. Both were undefeated. But only one could leave Madison Square garden as heavyweight champion of the world. So here at Madison Square garden we come to the question whose answer is freighted with millions. Will muhammad ali deliver a knockout blow to a world of enemies armored inside joe frazier . Or will frazier once again have the simple pleasure of watching a pair of knees buckle . Celebrities packed the garden, while millions around the gbe followed the fight on television or radio. And as ali and frazier left their respected corners, the tension was overpowering. Ali came out strong, gliding across the ring but frazier was no less impressive landing a series of his heavy punches which started to take their toll on ali. The fight stretched into the 12th, 13th, 14th and eventually 15th round. Thats when frazier wound up with a devastating left hook to alis jaw and when the final bell rang, the fight went to frazier by unanimous decision. He underestimated me. He thought i was a slow, flat footed fella. I couldnt move. I couldnt do nothing. I think i won the fight on points. If you look at the fight, i think i won a good 9 rounds. I know i won 9 rounds. Hows your jaw . Just sore. I dont have a mark on me if you see. I dont have one scratch. I have Nothing Happened to me. All i have is this bruised jaw here. In every way, ali versus frazier lived up to its hype. One of the alltime great dramas. Two giants of boxing exerting a stubborn determination, embodying the very spirit of competition. A round for round brawl that would deservedly go down as the fight of the century. Goldenage hollywood had its share of famous feuds from bette davis and Joan Crawford to Boris Karloff and bela lugosi. But no rivalry was more public or more playful than the one between jack benny and fred allen, lasting nearly 20 years. On december 30, 1936, comedian fred allen adlibbed a joke on his radio show, mocking jack bennys violin playing. Benny responded the following week on his own show, with a crack at allens expense and with that, one of the longestrunning mock feuds in showbiz history was on. In reality, benny and allen were colleagues and good friends but ty enjoyed playing comic adversaries. It was easy enough to get the swipes in. Bennys comic persona was a miserly penny pincher and a vain one. Decade after decade, he claimed to be 39 years old. Fred allens public persona was that of a sad sack who was perpetually unemployed and his goofy physical appearance was also fair game. The two comedians continued to taunt and ridicule each other in the ensuing months, then announced they would settle their differences with an on air fistfight called the battle of century on march 14. But the broadcast, which actually ended with the two combatants singing a duet, only made their rivalry more popular than ever. Benny and allen continued to spar on their respective radio programs well into the 1940s. Well, thats what i like about you, jack. Youll say anything for a laugh and someday you may get one. Thanks. By the way, fred, how are you coming along with your picture . I just finished the picture, jack. Its called its in the bag. oh. Well, it ought to be a success. Youre advertising it under each eye. Anyway, good luck on the picture. Well, thanks. You know, jack, people would sure be surprised to hear you wishing me luck. They think our feud is on the level. Yeah. You know, i wonder how many of my listeners my exlisteners thought i was serious last ye when i said, benny isnt really cheap. Its just that he has short arms and carries his money low in his pockets. yeah, haha. Younow and i bet a lot of my listeners thought i meant it when i said, the way allen talks through his nose, hes the only comedian on radio who tells em and smells em at the same time. benny and allen extended the feud into the movies as well, and in the 1950s brought it to television. Fred allen, you you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Coming in here and trying to my job away from me. Well, gee, jack, i had to do something. Ive eaten so much of that dog food theyve written a song about me being in a window. Fred allen died in 1956 and the feud died with him. Jack benny, born the same year as allen, survived until 1974, becoming a beloved showbusiness institution. Fred allen, by comparison, is largely forgotten today and when hes remembered, its usually for his rivalry with benny. By that measure, at least, in the battle of the century, its jack benny for the win. It was the slap the media couldnt get enough of. When we return, were going back in time to relive when Zsa Zsa Gabor found herself behind bars. Youre watching through the decades. Youre watching through the decades. Now we turn back to 2008 when cbss Steve Hartman found a competitor for the biggest ball of twine in the world, whom Charles Kuralt had profiled 31 years earlier. Like many rural americans of his age and upbringing Frances Johnson believes in thrift and conservation. My mother taught me to not waste anything. Nobody could accuse you of wasting any string lately . No. Not in the last 25 years. The thing weighed roughly 17 thousand pounds. It is the Worlds Largest ball of twine. It was the Worlds Largest ball of twine but just as kuralt prophesized. Somebody, somewhere may come up with a bigger ball of twine and then where would Frances Johnson be . Frances passed away in 1989. Oh . Yeah. Roger warner, curator of the Twine Ball Museum in darwin says frances died of emphysema brought on by breathing too many twine fibers. In northern wisconsin. Gods country. We found one james frank katura dump manager for the town of highland. Jfk says he saw kuralts original twine ball story and has spent the last 30 years making a monster of his own on his own. And this baby is solid. 19,850 pounds. Assuming his math is right, hes already got darwin beat by more than a ton. And i go around. Plus, his gets heavier every day while frances old ball is actually shedding pounds. What shape is your ball of twine . Well, its fairly round. Its a strange shape to that one so what do you call a ball . So let this be a warning to compulsive string savers. This is where it all can lead. When are you going to stop . Well, im gonna keep on working forever. You dont have to be crazy but it helps. It was the slap that was heard all over Beverly Hills. In 1989, hungarianborn socialite and actress Zsa Zsa Gabor took on a Beverly Hills cop in a hesaid shesaid confrontation. But there were two points they could agree on she slapped him and he arrested her. And finally a story that may need no introduction. Certainly, not if you watch the late night t. V. Talk shows and hear the jokes. She was the former miss hungary, friend of ronald and nancy reagans, collector of husbands, and in the fall of 1989, a defendant facing 18 months in jail for slapping a cop. I didnt do anything wrong. Gabor was stopped this past summer by motorcycle cop, paul kramer becse her rolls royce license plate tags had expired. A policeman stopped me, a gorgeous tall beauty. Zsa zsa says he kept her waiting in her hot car for a long time so she asked if she could go. And he says to me bleep off. I thought that meant go because he was pretty far away. So i took my car and i started driving. And he stops me like if im a criminal. And as i stopped, the window was still open in the car because it was so hot. He pulled me out by the window and he says you bleep get out of the car and as he pulled me he hurt me so terribly much that it was my instinct. It was a reaction or it was a self defense. I hit him. She says she screamed in agony when kramer handcuffed her with her arms behind her back and then things got even worse. He says, now you bleep, bleep, bleep . Im going to break both of your arms. he put me in the back. He took my both arms handcuffed behind me but so strong i screamed it hurts and he says now im going to break your legs and he kicked my legs with his boot or with i dont know with what because i wasike that. I was hysterical. Then he made me sit down on the thing, on the, what do you call it, the curb and i screamed help help help zsa zsa was arrested and charged with battery of an officer, driving without a license, driving an unregistered car and having an open container of alcohol in the car. Then they put a tag on me and made a mug shot which i found rather funny because ive never had a mug shot in my life.
