Good news there. Thank you katie. Damaging storms left behind path of destruction, want to slow you the scene overnight new castle, delaware, where funnel cloud was reported. That is where we find Eyewitness News reporter jan carabeo joining us from the scene. Good morning. Reporter erika, good morning, coming to you live now just off of new castle avenue in new castle, delaware, Mobile Home Park here, where the storm blew through and did a loft damage. You can see it tore the siding off of some of the homes here. Some of them are destroyed as well. This storm brought down trees utility polls power lines some of those lines just lying in the middle of the parking lot this morning. And a lot of people are displaced here, as women. In fact, i just spoke to one man who lost his home, and hes lost his motorcycle, as well, and to gave you a good idea how powerful this storm was, he says, his motorcycle was parked at one end of the parking lot about three spaces away, from where he found it, this storm blew it into another car and has caused whole lot of damage to that car. You see right there and his motorcycle, as women so a lot of recovery needed here on scene. But if you take a look at the video, you can see more of the damage. And exactly what came through here last night still unclear. Officer of Emergency Management says just before 8 00, what appeared to be funnel clouds, moved through this area. The most significant damage was here at the Delaware River Industrial Park on dock vow drive. Again at this nearby Mobile Home Park. Officials say that cloud appeared to be about 30 feet above the grounds and caused walls to collapse at several commercial buildings, at the Industrial Park, and again were told, storm caused a roof to collapse here at apartment building, at this Mobile Home Park. Weve seen firsthand a lot of that similar damage. It also downed utility polls leaving a lot of folks here without power. But, earlier in the evening if you take a look at this video, the storm road through points west of here, in berks county, around 6 00 p. M. The Blue Mountain academy on Mountain Road in tilt on township was destroyed. These pictures were posted on the schools facebook page. Two people were actually inside the building at the time but were able to escape unharmed. In philadelphia, this huge tree came down on a house in the Washington Square west section of the city. This Surveillance Video was taken from a nearby home on the 1100 block of rodman street. Fortunately, no one was hurt inside this home either. In fact, the homeowner was surprised to see all of the damage outside her door. Take a listen. During the stormy was putting my son to bed. And i got a text from a neighbor saying are you okayment and i said ya, were fine. And then 20 minute later she rang our doorbell and said are you sure youre fine . And i said ya. Then she said why dont you look out the window, dont you noah tree went against your house, and i had no idea. We were completely shocked. And back out here live on scene, just across new castle avenue, in the distance, you can see those power crews in the air trying to restore power in the area. They have been working around the clock as you can imagine a loft utility polls are down, a loft broken tree limbs, taken out power lines so a loft power is out in this area, as well. But again, it is still unclear exactly what came through here last night whether it was indeed a tornado or whether it was Straight Line winds thats all still under investigation. There was huge ponding section of the roadway that was compromising a few lanes so i would say that flooding would be our biggest problem in the areas. Also driving home last night broad street has had some big puddles, although we had to watch out for. Be mindful of that. With the Power Outages you could find something centrally located in the neighborhood. Just keep an eye out for. That will vine street expressway reopened in the westbound side.
