The officer who shot and killed Sean Monterrosa said he thought that he had a gun but it turned out to be a hammer. The state attorney general announced a review of the Vallejo Police department. Reporter the state attorney general is stepping into performed the beleaguered Vallejo Police department grappling with the string of deadly shootings by officers. Experts with the state doj will take a look at use of force and antivirus policies to develop a comprehensive policing plan. It is a critical step for the Vallejo Police department. He also talked about the use of force by police. He says he has directed a commission on peace officer training to stop using chuckles and will end those type of holds. San franciscos mayor and the city supervisor are talking about a plan to redirect funds from the Police Department to the cities Africanamerican Community. It is still in the id phase. The mayor and the supervisors say the roots why in policies that have harmed the citys black communities. Decades of disinvestment in the Africanamerican Community have been devastating. Investing in the black community with employment, housing opportunities and a collaborative relationship is the answer. The main thing is to come up where people can Work Together to keep people safe. This doesnt need to be either or with the 12 billion budget, there should be room for programs to aid the black community and provide for the Police Department.
