Times shows the number of new covid19 cases in california is going down. The number of people hospitalized, statewide, is down , 15 , compared to six weeks ago. Still, fear is growing about the possibility of a second wave of the coronavirus ses, as states are pushing ahead to reopen. If we do this correctly, with a few people out at a time, make sure there is no problem, maybe we can let more people out and keep doing it that way. And there is a reason a poll that says 82 of americans worry about a new spike, and a number of cases, as these restrictions are lifted. New this morning, Solano County has received state approval to move into the second stage of phase two of governor Gavin Newsoms plan to reopen california amid the covid19 pandemic. He was a 66yearold man, he opened the door, answered the door with a gun, and shot and killed himself. A Police Officer also fired a shot from a rifle during that confrontation. Safety of course will be the top priority. Expect students and teachers to be Wearing Masks inside the classrooms. And an ample supply of ppe on site. Classroom sizes, they will be smaller to make room for social distancing. And the lesson plan will likely be a hybrid blend of both virtual and classroom learning. The other big issue is money. But we also know is that the budget, as it is currently construed, will require some, some cuts to many programs and education, if we dont receive more funding from the federal government. In michigan, more than 10,000 people have been forced to evacuate because of flooding in central michigan. Two dams, about 130 files miles were swamped.
