Temperatures are also off to a cooler start with clearer skies and drier air moving in and we have temperatures of falling off this morning. You can see the afternoon approaching and temperatures are going to warm. We have 53 degrees in San Francisco and upper 40s in oakland and a mid40s over livermore and san jose is 49. We will see we are down by a few degrees in most areas down by six over oakland, cooler by 11 00 in napa and san jose is a degrees cooler. There is the cloud cover and it is a mix of cloudy skies and sunshine to start the day and you can see visibility maps, napa is reporting less than a mile at the airport, and everybody else is looking pretty good. The closer you get into the sacramento Central Valley, you can see the darker shade of gray indicating dense fog. If you have an early drive, that will take you in that direction. These are light but we have a bit of a north east flow in place that is going to remain in place for the afternoon and that will help drive our temperatures up. Here are the numbers expected today. 74 in oakland, if youre going to see the raiders play, we have made upper 70s expected in the south bay. A young child has died after being hit by a train. It happened around 4 20 pm along the Union Pacific tracks in santa clara and lafayette street. The train was delayed as a result of the investigation. It is unclear why the child was on the tracks or how he got there but police stress it was an accident and the child was not on those tracks intentionally. The police have arrested a man on charges that he assaulted a woman who tried to help him. The victim invited him into her home they say that he was homeless and she wanted to help him but while he was at her home, they say that he drugged  her and then raped her several times. He gave the victim a false name but were able to identify him using dna samples. They say a 9yearold boy is the lone survivor of a murder suicide. The boy underwent surgery and is in currently in Critical Condition. They believe the father attacked his four sons and his wife before killing himself. Communication centers received a call yesterday morning and nobody was on the line but the dispatcher could hear the argument in the background. Officers went to the home and found the entire family had been shot. It appears to be a tragic case of Domestic Violence murder suicide. We do know the victim had obtained a restraining order. The wife had filed for divorce and claimed her husband began stalking her and has with titles thoughts. They were 11, five, and three. They are arrested in connection to a shooting at a football game. It left a 10yearold boy in Critical Condition and 31year old alvin wyatt has been charged with three counts of attempted murder in the shooting along with lesser charges. Four other men were connected and are all facing weapons charges. They described friday as mayhem for those gunshots. What you saw was a way for people coming away. You saw People Holding babies and little children. There were bodies of people going over the fence and there were a lot of people, kids getting separated from their parents we are learning a man is in stable condition and will undergo surgery and 15yearold who was responsible was treated from the hospital. They will gather in San Francisco for world day of remembrance. Today is for road traffic victims and a global event honoring the millions of people injured and killed in traffic crashes each and every year. Today, San Francisco has the fifth annual remembrance all starting at city hall. People can also walk by several areas in the city with fatal crashes that have occurred. The new stanford hospital is welcoming its first patients after years of planning and construction, the doors are finally opening and we are there live with a look at the newest medical center. It is really an exciting but busy day here. At 9 am, patient can be transported from the current hospital to their new rooms in the new building. They have until 3 00 this afternoon. The 2. 1 billion facility was in the works for 10 years and today it is finally open. There are 360 private rooms and a two 4000 square foot hospital space. So this space is pretty big. It is the only level i Trauma Center between San Francisco and san jose for adults. This is a topoftheline medical facility, with stateof theart operating and imaging places, digital patient rooms and a premier specialist. The hospital also offers a relaxing environment for patients including four acres of gardens, stunning views, and controlled room temperatures, lighting, and entertainment from bad. At the end of the day, what we have got to do is make sure that healthcare in this country is a human right for all of our people and we have to have the courage to take on the greed and corruption of the Insurance Companies and the Drug Companies on day one. Details are coming up. Investigations are underway into the cause of the fire in the capital discredit. The fire broke out just before 5 am. 13 were displaced and two people were injured. San francisco firefighters say the fire damaged three buildings along the street and because of the size of the fire, there will be an Additional Investigation into what caused it. Fire crews say the fire started in the back of the building. A Small Business Disaster Relief fund will provide assistance for those affected by the fire. They released a statement reading the office of economic and Workforce Development team is here to support hour Business Community that are impacted by this fire. An employee has died in an accident while working to upgrade an electrical transformer. They said breaking the rule of no food of the platform is because of the Police Officers treatment of steve foster, with his encounter caught on video showing him being detained and cited for eating a breakfast sandwich while on the platform. This Police Officer really wanted to use his power to demean this individual. There was escalation of force and selection of that enforcement. People go to the bart every day eating food they have trash cans so people can assume that eating is okay. This African American will file a racial profiling claim against bart. Officials declined to comment on the protest and the future lawsuit. We have the homeless, drug needles, drug use, so many other things that bart police should be looking for and instead you are out here worrying about someone with a sandwich . People of all sorts of crazy things. Youre going to ask a guy that is eating a sandwich . . He has a registered Service Animal that took a bart train. They did not approach any of the protesters to stop them from eating. They also pointed out confusion that those can eat outside of the gate. They say the district has not yet been served with a lawsuit but if it does receive one, then its independent investigation into the incident will have to be put on hold. An investigation is underway after a driver crashed a car into a coffee shop injuring three customers in the north bay. It happened friday around noon at the starbucks on East Washington street. They say all three victims were sitting inside the store and one person was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries while two others were treated for minor injuries at the scene. The driver was not injured. They say they do not appear drugs or alcohol were to blame. They are working to contain a grass fire that broke out near homes in malibu. It started around the canyon boulevard. They battled the fire from the ground and air hoping to stop the fire before it got too close to home. Canyon boulevard is closed but they did let some residents back into their home and at last check, the fire had burned about five acres. There are no scheduled hearings today and the impeachment inquiry but yesterday key witnesses to testify behind closed doors. We are warmer around Half Moon Bay but for most, we are down by a few, napa down by four, Half Moon Bay could be due to that offshore flow that we are seeing and that is what is actually helping to dry us out some. Right now, it is not clear why the child was on the tracks or how he got there but police are stressing that it was an accident and that the child was not on the track intentionally. They have arrested a man on charges of sexually assaulting a woman who try to help them. The victim invited him inside to the home back in june and they say that he was homeless and she wanted to help him but while he was at her home, they say that he drugged her and raped her several times. He gave a false name but they were able to finally identify him using dna samples. Police say 9yearold boy is the lone survivor of a gruesome murder suicide. The claim the boy underwent surgery and currently is in Critical Condition. They believe the 31yearold father attacked his wife and their four sons before killing himself. 911 Communications Received a call yesterday nobody was on the line but the dispatcher could hear an argument in the background. Officers went to the home and found the entire family had been shot. It appears to be a tragic case of Domestic Violence murder suicide. We do know the victim had obtained a restraining order. The wife had filed for divorce and claimed her husband began stalking her and had sons that were killed that were 11, five, and three years old. The newest hospital is open in the bay area. Patients are being transferred from the old facility into the new center. We are at the new stanford hospital and even entrance looks quite impressive. Reporter very, very impressive. If you have ever been to the old hospital, once you get to the new one you will see what a difference there is. Right now, we are at a rooftop garden park within the hospital and you can see the patients are actually right up there, they get to look down and see this beautiful outdoor space and it is a great place for patients, staff and family to come down here and enjoy the outdoors while being treated. The entire hospital was built to provide the best medical care but another important part of this was the focus on wellness. Patients really do have a relaxing place to continue their healing process. The new Emergency Department was unveiled at 6 30 am and it is double the size of the former Emergency Department. It will be for adults and trauma patients while the old one will be dedicated to pediatric patients. It is an exciting but busy day. Patients will be transported from the current hospital to the new room of the new building near a bridge that was built between the two buildings. The 2. 1 billion facility was in the works for 10 years and today it is finally open. There are 368 private rooms and an acute hospital over 14 football field big. It is between San Francisco and san jose and this is the topof theline medical facility with stateoftheart operating and imaging suites, digital patient rooms and a premier team of specialists. They also offer a more relaxing environment for patients including four acres of gardens, stunning views and control over lightning and room temperatures and entertainment from bed. We spoke to the ceo about how he is feeling about this big day. Seeing all of the excitement around the building, it is opening what we were going to do for our patients. I do not remember a game where there was somebody with such an emotional flipflop. You think you will win or lose or win, but their biggest lesson from that game, no matter what, is the injury status.
