Concord police say the got a tip from another agency and search the home of Preston Bromley and purportedly found child pornography on the computer. A white Milpitas High School teacher is on leave after he wore black face to school for halloween. Their lawyer said the company should have acted faster to prevent illegal parties like the one where that shooting occurred. Hill is one of the five people who were shot and killed at that party at the airbnb in orinda last week. This picture is one of several at this memorial. The San Francisco chronicle reports the lawsuit is being filed in Contra Costa County superior court and accuses airbnb and the homeowners of negligence. Almost 100 people died. This drone video shows how things have changed in the past year. One video shows the devastated city a couple days after the fire started nove8, 2018. Then a second video taken this week. This shows the year later healing and rebuilding. Elissa harrington is there now with more. How far the town of paradise has come and how this somber day is being remembered. Reporter when you drive into town, the sign says rebutting the ridge. Driving to the streets is different than we experienced last year when this entire block had burned to the ground. We are seeing some rebuilding and we see people and campers sleeping on bots and people driving through town. This town is coming back to life although there is still a long way to go. The fire tore through town so fast people had trouble escaping the one of the four main access roads. The flames were burning next to cars. The cal fire captain john gaddy was one of the first to respond and he spoke with ktvu about how fast the fire group. Reporter the towns mayor said one big Lesson Learned is that they need to have a better emergency plan. Last year when the fire happened the town relied heavily on tech to send electronic messages to alert people to an emergency or evacuation. Many of those towers burned early. She said they will build a new system that will probably include going to neighborhoods with sirens and will use other notification methods. Since the camp fire, the city has issued more than 300 Building Permits and 11 occupancy permits. The mayor said 40005000 people are already living in town now. To make it lookslike a war zone. A flower business in Half Moon Bay is shutting down after more than 100 years in business. Bay city flower started in 1910 and has been growing flowers for bay area florists and companies for years. The city manager said the cut flower industry and agriculture in general has been their jobs customers will feel the impact. Also it was a year ago today that the deadly woolsey fire broke out in Southern California. Three people died in that fire. More than 97,000 acres burned and ventura and la county. Like the victims of the camp fire, survivors, homeowners and Business Owners still struggle to bounce back and rebuild because of red tape and because insurance claims were turned down. The ckliterally put us out o business because six months later our landlord said i have somebody else who wants to go in here. We are still working on the insurance claim. We had to move. The woolsey fire happen hours after the borderline bar mass shooting in Thousand Oaks were 12 people were killed. Investigators said Southern California edison equipment started the woolsey fire and the Utility Company could be liable for billions of dollars in damage. Today the people of napa county are being asked to help their neighbors and Sonoma County recover from the kincade fire. That fire was just fully contained this week and destroyed close to 400 homes and businesses. At one point the kincade fire forced 180,000 people to evacuate. The Napa County Farm Bureau is hosting a donation drive from 3 00 this afternoon until 7 00 tonight and items in need include towels, sleeping bags, toiletries and did Gift Certificates for clothing and gas. Tonight the city of healdsburg will thank the community for the purse perseverance and first responders. The chamber of commerce and Visitors Bureau are hosting what they call a celebration of gratitude. Has 49. 9 trailing her opponent, dean preston, who has 50. 1 . The Election Department says right now they are only 35 votes apart. The San Francisco Police Officers association is demanding a stronger apology from city supervisor sandra lee fewer after the supervisor led an obscene chant against them. This happened during an Election Night party for District Attorney candidate try 19 on tuesday. The poa aired campaign ads against boudin accusing him of being soft on crime. Supervisor if you are released a statement apologizing to any officers who were offended but the poa said she needs to do more. Other said the understand fewers frustration with the police union. The search in San Francisco goes on for a gunman who shot and wounded someone in broad daylight on market street. This happened yesterday morning just after 10 am at market and golden gate avenue outside the golden gate theater. The shooting sent people running for cover. Police are checking your buy stores to see if they have Surveillance Video that may help identify the shooter. The shooting victim is still in the hospital with life threatening injuries. The National Rifle association has withdrawn its lawsuit against the city of San Francisco. They filed the suit after the board of supervisors labeled the gun rights lobby as a terrorist organization. The nra said the city was infringing on its freedom of speech rights. The group said in a statement it was dismissing the lawsuit because it hadid he is pleased the group backed down on its frivolous lawsuit. Authorities are searching for a third person in connection to several thefts including stolen police gear. Last friday night Mountain View Police Officers spotted two men and a uhaul truck outside a Kohls Department store and moments later a theft report th leading to a search of the truck. This comes after a study published this week in the journal of American Medical Association which showed an increase in use of vaping with mint and fruit flavors being very popular. The jewell ceo said the results are unacceptable and the e Cigarette Company has already stopped selling popular fruit and dessert flavors but it remains under fire by lawmakers who accuse juul of marketing the product to teenagers. After 13 months of renovation work to historic point reyes lighthouse, it reopens today. The National Park service spent 5 million restoring the 150 yearold lighthouse. It was commissioned in 1870 and through the years of salt air, the powerful wind and moisture, it deteriorated. The extents of the makeover included restoring the lighthouse lens, replacing the briefing and creating an accessible pathway. The Visitor Center will open at 10 am. The lighthouse tours begin at 2 30 pm.
