It is obviously inconvenient. Cal fire is also on alert putting extra crews in place throughout the foothills ask they are urging homeowners to have a plan in case they need to evacuate. The judge rejected arguments from a Neighborhood Group that it will be a catalyst for crime. They filed a lawsuit to try stop the project. Ktvus andre senior tells us the judge denied their request. A woman attacked by a homeless Mental Illness man entering her building feet away from where the Navigation Center could house 200 of the citys homeless. The judge said he examined crime stats and found increases in crime around Navigation Centers merit that of increased crime city wide, meaning there is no evidence Navigation Center contributed to the increase in criminal activity. The charges stem from an off duty incident where he accidentally shot himself in a parking lot at the mall. Investigators say he lied to police and let them believe he had been shot by suspect.
